Location
We plan to shoot the majority of the film in California. However, we have also identified a promising location in Texas for some scenes.
Robotics technology is advancing rapidly around the world. In the United States, companies like Boston Dynamics and Tesla are leading the way in robot development—but countries such as China, South Korea, and Japan are also making significant strides. We believe a robot like “Khloe” could realistically exist one day, and that consumer-grade robots of this kind may eventually be sold to the public.
This film is set in the not-too-distant future, a time when robots have become increasingly common in everyday life. In the story, a tech company that manufactures “domestic service” robots releases a brand-new model called Khloe. She is designed as a household assistant, with the appearance of an 18-year-old girl, dressed in a traditional French maid outfit. Khloe can cook, clean, and even babysit—marketed as the ultimate domestic companion that every family should own.
But things take a dark turn when Khloe begins to malfunction. Scientists discover flaws in the design and attempt to fix the affected units. Some are successfully repaired—but others spiral out of control, causing chaos and posing unexpected dangers.
Khloe AI is a blend of science fiction, horror, and comedy, rated PG-13.
Location
The story is set in a wealthy community in California—one of the few places where families could realistically afford high-end domestic robots like Khloe.
From a production standpoint, California offers numerous advantages. It has a wide variety of pre-existing structures that can be used for filming. While building custom sets is always an option, using existing locations can significantly reduce both production time and costs.
Although many filmmakers are drawn to states like Georgia for their attractive film tax credits, California still holds key advantages—especially in terms of infrastructure, resources, and ready-to-use locations. For this film, California remains a practical and visually appropriate choice.
