Our goal is simple: to produce standout American-style films that not only entertain global audiences but also perform strongly at the box office.

We view movies as more than stories—they’re entertainment products that offer audiences a few hours of joy, laughter, suspense, or thrill. Films are also a powerful form of escapism, transporting viewers to other worlds—be it ancient Rome, prehistoric jungles, distant planets, or talking animal kingdoms. People crave that escape, and we aim to deliver it.

From Australia to Hollywood

Eora Entertainment was founded by an Australian filmmaker with a lifelong passion for American cinema. Growing up in Sydney, U.S. films dominated the box office and sparked a dream to one day contribute to that same world. After studying at the Sundance Institute and the New York Film Academy in Australia, that dream evolved into a clear mission: to create American-style films for the U.S. and global markets.

Our Name

The name Eora holds deep personal significance. It comes from the Aboriginal people of the Sydney region—the Eora Nation. While we are not of Aboriginal descent, our founder grew up on Eora land and was encouraged to acknowledge that heritage while studying at Sundance. In honor of that connection, and inspired by its meaningful sound, the company was named Eora Entertainment.
